My Pastor loves to hear The Word of God proclaimed as well as preach it and we also give him gifts of messages by some of his favorite preachers.

Improving sermon delivery is one of the goals of those who preach. I am not sure I would go as far as one my seminary professors, who said "All work and no plagiarism makes Jack a dull preacher" but listening to others can spark an idea for anyone who preaches.
