Google says that using the code google22c989a46ce31df2, will help me build a better church website
I discovered that the code google22c989a46ce31df2 will help me build a better church website by verifying website ownership, thus improving website pagerank.
I will also submit a Sitemap File to Google so as to have a Google friendly website.
What I discovered is that Google's process requires a login before you can submit your sitemap URL.
STEP 1 -- Log into Google Sitemaps at http://www.google.com/webmasters/sitemaps/login
Here are the directions to add a sitemap file so that this church focused website will be more search engine friendly.
- Log into Google Webmaster Tools.
- Enter your site URL into the text box and click OK.
- Click on the Sitemaps tab at the top of the page.
- Click on Add a Sitemap. From the drop down menu, select Add General Web Sitemap.
- Enter the sitemap URL into the text box that appears on Google's Sitemap page and then click on Add Web Sitemap to submit it.
Fortunately I have an AdSense account, but I also use Gmail, which I used to create a Google Account link.
STEP 2 -- Submit Your Site URL
Since I did not see a URL on the Dashboard page, which is the default page after logging in, Google did not know about my pastor appreciation website sitemap.
They did provide the site verification code google22c989a46ce31df2 to make this a faith based website more search engine friendly.
Fortunately, I am using one of the best church website building programs that I used to construct this pastor appreciation site.
