Appreciation Gifts Given Anonymously

Gifts Of Cash From Guess Who

For several years our church, where my husband is the pastor, collected greeting cards and cash gifts from the congregation.

They were encouraged to write in the card, but not to sign it, thus anonymously. They also enclosed their cash gift, not checks (checks need a signature, otherwise they would not be anonymous).

They would put them all in a gift bag and present them to us during a special pastor appreciation service.

Fun And Surprise Opening Cards From Only God Knows Who

It was so wonderful reading the cards expressing thoughts of appreciation, and of course receiving the cash gifts. It was great not knowing who gave us how much. People gave whatever they could afford and know one knew who gave what, except for the Lord.

Gifts Of Cash Gave Pastor Choice Of How To Spend It

We would use the money for something specific that we needed. There were also times we used it to pay for a little family overnight trip somewhere.

What a blessing, both by us who received these gifts and the congregation when they learned how we used their expressions of appreciation!
